Decimals

We are learning to understand the concept of a decimal point and tenths thousandths.
Student teachers from Auckland University have done a slide for us with links to sites so we can practice our decimals but the student teachers could not come to our school because of Coronavirus.
I found it easy to work out how to say decimals.
I found it tricky to understand the second practice site. It said a word and you had to figure out what the decimal was.
My digital learning object shows I can make a Screencastify and post it on my blog.
Here's my Screencastify to let the student teachers know how I got on.

  1. Kia ora Mya, thank you for sharing. I can see how the second practice site would be challenging, however I am so happy you gave it a go. I saw that you might want to be a racer one day. Do you think decimals could be useful for checking your race times? Keep up the good mahi!
