September Reflection

Today we did our September Reflection. We reflected on what we did this month. We wrote about what book we read, the zombie apocalypse, speeches and more. I enjoyed writing what we did this month. I found nothing tricky. Here is my September Reflection.

 

Design your own alien!

This week for reading we have been learning how to identify the characters and/or author's point of view. With our reading we have been doing tasks about aliens! We got to pick a task to do. There was... Create a wanted alien poster, Make your own alien spaceship and design your own alien. I chose design your own alien. I did some facts about my alien. I enjoyed making the alien and doing facts about it. I found nothing tricky. Here is my alien!

Climate Change

For the past 2 weeks we have been working on our speeches. We have finished and everyone has read theres out. We are waiting for the results and sees who goes into the semi-finals. We took a screencastify of our speech. I did not want to to my pepeha on the screencastify because there is personal information. I enjoyed taking a screencastify and saying my speech. I found it tricky to ignore my friends because they kept poking there hands in the screencastify. Here is my speech!  

Aotearoa Place Names

This week for cybersmart we have been doing Aotearoa place names. Because it is Te Reo Maori week. We did this task. We had to use motes to pronounce them. We also did a little quiz. Did you figure it out before you saw the answer? I enjoyed pronounce Taupo and make the little quiz. I found nothing tricky. Here is my Slides.

Shapes In Te Reo

This week for maths we have been doing a scavenger hunt. Because it is Te Reo Maori week we have been finding the shapes in the classroom and taking a photo and putting them on a slide with Kylah. This activity was supposed to be outside but because of the weather we couldn't. I enjoyed doing this with my friend, Kylah and finding the shapes in the classroom. I found it tricky to find some of the shapes.

Social Justice Week

This week is social justice week, Te reo Maori week and Conservation week. We have been Focusing on all of them. For reading we have done 3 things. We have done a social justice doc, no girls allowed and the beatitude poster. The to docs we did, we did them as a group. We both wrote down what we agree about and what we don't agree about. We had to do both of them. We also did a beatitude poster with all of the beatitudes. I enjoyed making the Beatitude poster because It was nice finding animals that show them. I found it tricky to do the no girls allowed. Here is the things I did.

Is Mr Wolf Guilty Of 1st Degree Murder?

This week we have been learning to plan and structure persuasive writing because it is coming close to speeches. We have a plan of why Mr Wolf is guilty! We have two statements about why Mr Wolf is guilty and why he is not. For the structure of the speech we had to choose from why he was guilty and why he was not. I chose that he is guilty. It has more interesting than non guilty. On my plan and writing I have highlighted orange the points that is on my success criteria. 

I enjoyed writing and planning this piece of writing because it will get me ready for my actual speech.

I found it tricky to add to my speech because I had no idea what to add to my writing.
