This week in Writing we have been learning to use a hook. We had to use juicy verbs and different sentence starters.
I enjoyed writing my recount.
I found tricky to write it because some words were hard to write.
I would change the sentence starters.
One scorching morning we hopped in the car and zoomed off. We traveled to the supermarket. We got out of the car and I saw the huge, long, line like a giraffe's neck. Next minute we got in line and waited for ages! Finally it started moving and got in. We grabbed a trolley and headed inside. First we got veggies like lettuce, carrots and other veggies. We moved on to the meat section. Looking at all the meats I would most enjoy the sausages. We got in the frozen section. As we moved on we got to the sweets but we didn't get any because we can make them at home. Walking down the aisle we got some tomato sauce and some other items. Going down the aisle looked at the things I could have for school lunches. Minutes later I picked some chips, biscuits and some crackers . Time flew by and we were at the checkout. The trolley was almost full. We got some chocolate bars and a packet of skittles. They are my favorite candy to have. All the food was in the trolley and we were off to the car to unpack.
