All About Me

Today we have a new teacher, teaching us. Her name is Miss Tilley. We all want to get to know her and she wants to get to know us so we made an all about me. You may have seen in the start of the year we did a all about me. We started on paper then went on to digital. I enjoyed doing this with Miss Tilley. I found nothing tricky. Here is my All About Me

All Saints Day

Today we have been learning about all saints day. All saints day is when we remember the saints who have gone to heaven. I enjoyed learning about all saints day and what it is for. I found it tricky to make my poster stand out. Here is my All Saints Day poster! 

October Student Reflection Newsletter

Today we did our October Reflection. We reflected on what we did this month. We wrote about what book we read, Our Frida Kahlua art, athletics and more. I enjoyed writing what we did this month. I found nothing tricky. Here is my October Reflection. 

Frida Kahlo Art

At the end of last term we started some artwork. This artwork is inspired by Frida Kahlo. We made a portrait of her. We firstly drew her face, hair, eyes, lips and accessories. Here are some facts about her, She has a monobrow, Frida was six when she got polio. She got is a serious accident causing her to be in hospital for about 5-6 weeks. She sadly lost her life on the 13 July 1954. I enjoyed painting and making the flower. I found it trick to do the eyes because when I put layers on the eyes, it did not look right. Come Down Golden Adventure

Today for reading we were learning to ask and answer questions. I am working with Leyla. We made a google form on the chapters 2 and 3 from the book Come Down Golden. I enjoyed creating this with Leyla. I found it tricky to do the questions because I did not know what questions to do. Here is the link!

Today for reading we were learning to infer which means reading between the lines. Our task was to make a google drawing about the scene character and problem in the book (this is in chapter 1). I enjoyed reading the book. I found it tricky to make the google drawing. Here it is.

This week for reading we have been learning how to identify the characters and/or author's point of view. With our reading we have been doing tasks about aliens! We got to pick a task to do. There was... Create a wanted alien poster, Make your own alien spaceship and design your own alien. I chose design your own alien. I did some facts about my alien. I enjoyed making the alien and doing facts about it. I found nothing tricky. Here is my alien!

Climate Change

For the past 2 weeks we have been working on our speeches. We have finished and everyone has read theres out. We are waiting for the results and sees who goes into the semi-finals. We took a screencastify of our speech. I did not want to to my pepeha on the screencastify because there is personal information. I enjoyed taking a screencastify and saying my speech. I found it tricky to ignore my friends because they kept poking there hands in the screencastify. Here is my speech!  

Aotearoa Place Names

This week for cybersmart we have been doing Aotearoa place names. Because it is Te Reo Maori week. We did this task. We had to use motes to pronounce them. We also did a little quiz. Did you figure it out before you saw the answer? I enjoyed pronounce Taupo and make the little quiz. I found nothing tricky. Here is my Slides.

Shapes In Te Reo

This week for maths we have been doing a scavenger hunt. Because it is Te Reo Maori week we have been finding the shapes in the classroom and taking a photo and putting them on a slide with Kylah. This activity was supposed to be outside but because of the weather we couldn't. I enjoyed doing this with my friend, Kylah and finding the shapes in the classroom. I found it tricky to find some of the shapes.

Social Justice Week

This week is social justice week, Te reo Maori week and Conservation week. We have been Focusing on all of them. For reading we have done 3 things. We have done a social justice doc, no girls allowed and the beatitude poster. The to docs we did, we did them as a group. We both wrote down what we agree about and what we don't agree about. We had to do both of them. We also did a beatitude poster with all of the beatitudes. I enjoyed making the Beatitude poster because It was nice finding animals that show them. I found it tricky to do the no girls allowed. Here is the things I did.

Is Mr Wolf Guilty Of 1st Degree Murder?

This week we have been learning to plan and structure persuasive writing because it is coming close to speeches. We have a plan of why Mr Wolf is guilty! We have two statements about why Mr Wolf is guilty and why he is not. For the structure of the speech we had to choose from why he was guilty and why he was not. I chose that he is guilty. It has more interesting than non guilty. On my plan and writing I have highlighted orange the points that is on my success criteria. 

I enjoyed writing and planning this piece of writing because it will get me ready for my actual speech.

I found it tricky to add to my speech because I had no idea what to add to my writing.

Fact 5 Poster - Turtles

Today for reading we have been learning to apply knowledge. We had to create a fact 5 poster about turtles and draw a realistic drawing of a turtle. I did the fact poster first and left the drawing for last. I enjoyed drawing and colouring the turtle. I found it tricky to find facts about turtles.

Science Experience

Today for science we had some really fun tasks. We got to chose from 2 of them or both. I did 1 and videoed and took a photo of the stuff you need. I tried the paperclip experiment but it kept sinking. The pepper experiment was cool. When the dish soap touched the surface all the pepper went to the sides creating a circle. I enjoyed doing this experiment because I have not done one of the science tasks during lockdown.

I found nothing tricky.

Cats VS Dogs

Today for reading we were learning to apply knowledge and opinions. We had to make a statement about Cats VS Dogs. I think they are both animals are amazing but I picked the cat. We had to try and prove the reader that the cat is better than the dog. I enjoyed finding arguments about both animals. I found nothing tricky. Next time I would try do dogs.

Fathers Day Card

Because it is Fathers day, we have made cards to celebrate our dads. I think it turned out really good. I also think my dad will love this card. I had to try make it 2 times because I kept failing but I never gave up. In the end I did it. I enjoyed making this card because I made it with all my love for my dad. I found it tricky to do the card because there we so many steps and folds.

Multiplication Chart

Today for maths we are doing a multiplication chart. We had to follow what colours the times table chart is. We also had to watch a video to find the colours. I enjoyed finding out that on a slide with tables you can highlight them instead of doing them individually. I found it tricky to write this blog post because I did not know what to write. Pen Pal letter

Today for reading we were learning to apply knowledge. Because of lockdown we have haven't been able to see our friends. So we are writing them a letter. We can send them an email or post it in the mail. I chose to email it. And the person I chose was Maddison. I wrote about all the things I did during lockdown and i'm hoping to hear back from her. I enjoyed writing to her because she is one of my best friends. I found nothing tricky. Here is my letter i wrote to her.

Stop Motion Animation

Today for one of our tasks we did a stop animation. This was one of the best tasks today. When I got to this task I thought about how I would do it. I think my stop motion animation turned out really good. When you see it I think you will be amazed how it turned out. I did not think it would turn out so good. I found It easy to make the stop motion animation. I found it tricky to keep my shadow out but it did not work well.

Spelling Test

Today for our learning we have been doing spelling. For spelling we had some slides to do. I got someone to chose 10 words for me to practice. On the slides we had to different variety of things. The rainbow words were the hardest. I got a 10/10 with my spelling words. I found it easy to do the slides. I found it tricky to do the rainbow word slide because it took so long.

August Reflection

Today for inquiry we did our August Reflection. This reflection is reflecting on what we did this month. We had to write about lots of different things like reading, writing, what we did in lockdown and others. Talk about all those things reminded me about what we did before lockdown then into lockdown. I enjoyed changing everything to make it match my style. I found nothing tricky. My digital learning object shows that I need to get better at making my drawing nice so people can read it and the colours.

Paralympics 5 Fact Sheet

Today we have been learning about the Paralympic Games. The Paralympics Is for people who cant compete in the Olympics. We had to create a 5 fact sheet about the Paralympics. We could make our own or use the template that the teacher gave us. I chose to use the teachers one but add a little bit of spice and make it something of my own. I found it easy to create the google drawing. I found it tricky to find information about the Paralympic Games because the Olympics is more popular.

Cicada Jumping Game

Today for reading we were learning how to apply knowledge. Its learning that is used in various situations and contexts. We had three things to choose from. I chose to make the jumping cicada game. There was a video on the class site that had the instructions of how to make the game. I found it easy to follow the video so the game was right. I found it tricky to find a cicada because there was no cicada on scratch so I used the closest thing possible which was grasshopper.

FRIYAY! Check up

Because it is FRIYAY! We had some math fun! And we also had to see what we have done this week with a chart. We had to tick what we did this week. Each task we did was worth 5 points, My score was 35/65. I took photos of what I did. I enjoyed doing the Kahoot because I am actually really fast on that and I got 6th Place. I found it tricky with the math buddy tasks because they weren't what I usually do.

Writing Journal -

This week for writing we have been learning how to summarize. We have a Journal that we get to fill out each day. There was 9 tasks to choose from and I chose the 6 sentence story. My story is about a duck called Bob who wants some lemonade, you will have to read on to find out. I enjoyed writing anything I wanted to write. I found it tricky to think about what I wanted to write about.

Impact of Plastic Pollution

Today for reading we were learning how to apply knowledge. Its learning that is used in various situations and contexts reading about how plastic pollution has taken impact on the world. We had to make a slide showing how plastic has done damage to our world and how we can stop it. I enjoyed making the slides and learning about how bad plastic is actually doing to our planet. I found it tricky to find the correct facts because they were not the right facts I wanted.

Composting - Report

Today for writing we are learning about structure. We were also learning and writing about compost. Compost is very good for the planet. If your wondering how its good for the planet you will have to read on.

We had a success criteria that we had to follow. I had to keep looking back at it because I did not want to miss anything out. I think I did leave some stuff out but that is ok. I enjoyed finding out about how composting works. I found it tricky to find the wow fact, keep reading because I think you will like it.

Have you ever wondered how compost works?

What is it?

Composting is old food like apple cores, banana peels, dead leaves, kitchen scraps, that overtime insects, bugs and worms make it turn into good, nice nutritious dirt which you can use to plant new plants like fruit and veg instead of buying fruit and veg from supermarkets. 

How is it made?

Compost is made from old food scraps, apple cores and more. All the old food scraps have to be layered. When having or making a compost, layering is good to help all the food scraps or what you have put in the compost decompose, and to help give oxygen to help it breath like we do, that's why it’s good to have the holes in the compost bin. As you watch the compost decompose you might see some little critters like insects and worms but don't worry, these bugs are good because they actually help the scraps and waste decompose to make healthy dirt. They are bugs in your bin helping to break down all the compostable material.

The benefits of composting

Composting is helping old scraps into new dirt. Which regrows new food, then it is a cycle because of how it's planted and then taking the scraps and starting all over again. It is also stopping food from going out to landfill

Today for RE we were learning about faith and trust. We had to make a word cloud with all the synonyms about faith and trust. I enjoyed making the word cloud and finding all the synonyms I could. I found it trick to make it the right size to take a screenshot with.

Maui turns into the Kereru

Today for reading we have been learning to apply knowledge. It's learning that is used in various situations and contexts. We watched a video about how Maui found his father and the Magic Jaw bone. One specific part was when Maui followed his mother and had found his father. Maui turned to the Kereru (New Zealand Wood Pigeon) and sat on top of a tree and had dropped the berries that were on the tree to get their attention. We got four things to choose from and I chose to make the Kereru In Minecraft. A fact about Kereru is that they are one of the largest pigeon in the world! Do you know anything about kereru?

I found it easy to make the Kereru look like it had feathers on it.

I found it tricky create the Kereru because I did not know how to make it right.

Get out and get active!

Today for one of our lessons was to get out and get active. we had to chose one of the activities to do and I chose gardening. What we did was get some seeds, dirt, planters and some names. We planted some tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, broad beans, spring onions, apple cucumbers, all sorts of cucumbers and others. It was hard to get the seeds into the dirt and off my hand because they were so small, even smaller than an ant.

I enjoyed planting them and watering them.

Native Bush Scavenger Hunt

Today for Inquiry we had a scavenger hunt were we had to find some of our native animals. There were slides to choose from and I chose the kōtare - New Zealand kingfisher. We had to find out the answers to all of these questions.

I enjoyed finding the answers because they were easy to find.

I found it tricky to find all the stuff that was hiding on the first page.

Great White Shark - Fact 5 poster

Today we have been learning how to apply knowledge It's learning that is used in various situations and contexts. We had three tasks to choose from and I chose the fact poster. I was doing mine about the Great White Shark. On the slides we had to put five interesting facts about the animal. My last slide Is my favourite, you will have to read on to find out! 

I enjoyed finding out about the Great White Shark because it is an animal that I have not thought about or that I have researched about.

I found it trick to find some facts that I thought the reader will enjoy.

This week for writing we have been learning to make links between our paragraphs. Because of lockdown we had to start our plan and writing again. We had to choose an author that we liked and had to write a fact file about the chosen author. I chose J.K Rowling because she Is my favourite author. She wrote all seven Harry Potter books and I'm obsessed with Harry potter so I had to chose her. I wanted to all a little piece to the end to make it a bit longer.
I enjoyed writing about her and I'm happy about the Wow fact - You will have to read on to find out!
I found it tricky to find all the information again because It was all im my writing book.

Mary Ascends to Heaven

Today for RE we were learning about the Assumption of Mary. We watched A video and read to pieces of text about it. We had to create a word cloud about what words we saw and had to put them in a word cloud. I chose a couple of words because I did not know what words I should or could have done.
I enjoyed making the word cloud because you can put as many words as you want.
I found it tricky to chose words to do.

Robots - Reading task

This week for reading we have been learning to infer. Because we are now in level 4 lockdown we have been doing stuff on zoom. We had started this before lockdown and we have been thinking about what robots can solve in the world. There were many things to choose from like world hunger, climate change and lots more. But one that I thought of was Endangered Species. It is where some animals like red pandas, have not many left in the world. We had to think about how we can stop these things from happening.

I enjoyed writing the description because there are many things that it can solve. I could think of 4 reasons.

I found it tricky to make what it looked like because It would have to be a robot that won't be attacked by predators.

Valarie Adams - Report

This week for writing we have been learning to make links between paragraphs. I had to make a link with a word on both paragraphs so it made a connection. We got to chose our Olympian to write about. I chose Valerie Adams because she is my idol. My success criteria for writing is that I have used phrases such as "As well as.. he also..." to start my paragraphs. I have used the same word towards the end of one paragraph and start of the next (word links). I have used an idea link. I got 2 out of 3 of these in my writing. I enjoyed writing about Valerie Adams because she was very interesting and she had lots to write about. I found it tricky to write an idea link because It was different and I wasn't sure how to do it. Next time I will watch the video over and over again to get an understanding, and go to another workshop with my teacher.

Valerie Adams is a shot putter. She has 3 sibling. Steven Adams played basketball, for Oklahoma, New Orleans and in Memphis, Tennessee. Lisa Adams is competing in the Paralympic Games and is doing shot put. Valerie has also coached Lisa in shot put. As well as shot put, Lisa played netball and basketball while she was growing up. Warren Adams is Valerie's brother. Valerie Adams went to Southern Cross Campus. She took up shot putting at the age of 14.

Valerie was so fantastic at shot putting the she became one of the best shot putters in the world. Valerie Adams has won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, gold at the 2021 London Olympics, silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics and at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics she won bronze.

Valerie Adams is one of New Zealand's most successful and celebrated Olympic athletes. 

Kūmarahou

This week for reading we have been learning to summarise. We had to choose a Māori healing plant that was in our school. There were alot to choose from but I chose the Kūmarahou. It cures stuff like colds and coughs. We get to paint this on a piece of wood and place it where our plant is, so people can read what the plant is. I enjoyed learning about the Kūmarahou because I did not know what this plant was. I found it tricky to find facts on the internet because there was not much about what It can heal. Do you know what else the Kūmarahou can heal?

Japan Facts

This week for reading we have been learning to skim and scan. When you skim you read the text quickly to get an idea of what it is about. When you scan, you read the text quickly looking for key words for the information you need.

We are doing facts about Japan, and what they eat, what sports they do and more. Sadly I did not get to finish this task because I am a House Captain and I had responsibilities to do. I could have finished this at home but I didn't do it. And I am sorry that I didn't finish it. I will still show you what I did though.
I enjoyed finding where Japan is on the map and circling it.
I found it tricky to finish because most of our information is on Epic and because it was after school I could not get the information. I could have googled it but I didn't.

Olympics Games - Facts and Information

This week for reading we have been learning to skim and scan. Because the Olympic Games are on, we have made a slide show about facts and Information about the Olympics. If you want to know more about the Olympics then read on. We had to talk about facts and about the fourth medal. Thats crazy right, that there is a fourth medal!

I enjoyed finding fact about the Olympic Games that I did not know.

I found it tricky to find out about the fourth medal because I did not know what it was. Lucky we could research and with some help I found it out.

Olympics Games Mascot

This week we have been making mascots because the Olympics are on. If you are wondering why we are making these it is because if the Olympics ever came to New Zealand we could have a mascot to represent our country. I have not finished mine but this is what I have done so far. I will keep working on this.

I enjoyed trying to draw the head and the flag.

I was tricky to draw the body and to colour.

Gamefroot Progress

For cybersmart today we have been working on our gamefroot. I have made some progress on it. Like how now my player has an animation when It runs and when it is idle.

I enjoyed coding the collectables but i'm not done yet.

Theseus And The Minotaur

We are learning to infer. Inferring means when you read between the lines. We had to do two tasks, a group task and an individual task. With our group task we had to agree and disagree on “Theseus isn’t a true hero because of how he betrayed Princess Ariadne.” With the Individual task I did mine with Camille. We got to choose from two tasks. To make a wanted poster or to design our own labyrinth. Camille and I chose the wanted poster. It was hard because we didn't know what to do.

I enjoyed making the wanted poster with Camille because we had to create what he looked like.

I found it tricky to get the arms in the right place because it keep moving.

Gamefroot Progress

For cybersmart we have been learning to code games on Gamefroot. I've been away so I had to catch up. With some help, I watched some videos that were on the class site to get me started. There was a slide show showing how to code the player. When I tried it I got the hang of it straight away. 

I found it easy to place blocks and to place the background. The blocks stop the character from falling through the void.

I found it tricky to script the player because I could not find some of the scripts.

June Reflection

I enjoyed the Grip Leadership Conference because we learnt how to be better leaders and plan events.
I found it tricky to make the Gamefroot game because we had to make our Sprite move and jump.

Differences Between Countries

This week for reading we have been learning to infer. Because It was Samoa Language week, we were differencing what I do as a family, What Samoa does and another country does. I chose Christmas because it is my most favorite holiday. As a group we chose different holidays and found information about that subject.

I enjoyed finding about what Samoa does at Christmas time.

I found it tricky to pronounce ponju caju because it is brazilian

Tapa Cloth

Talofa!  Because It is Samoa Language week we have been doing some art. In Samoa they have things called Tapa Cloths. They are made with Flax and they weave it through to make a mat. So with our artistic skills we created our own tapa cloths. We got some inspiration from a photo of what to do. We found the design we wanted and they with brown crayon and then once done you go over with dye. 

I found it easy to dye over it because it was a simple task.
I found it tricky to press hard with the crayon because it was a lot to do so my hand got sore.

We have been learning to shade and sketch. For the past 3 weeks we have been sketching Anime People. I chose Hinata from Haikyuu Because he is my favorite person from that anime. While doing this It was very frustrating to do the eyes because I could not line them up properly. Shading was the most funniest part because I it looked nice when It was shaded.

Piskel Sprite

This week for cybersmart we have been using a website called Piskel Sprite. We were aloud to create anything we wanted to. I did not create much because I was not there on Tuesday. I had no clue and I kept changing Ideas. I might create a new thing because I had no time.
I enjoyed Creating it because I have never done it before.
I found it tricky to Think of something to create.

May Reflection

Today we did our May Reflection. While we did this we reflected on what we did during May. We reflected on Reading, Maths, Coding and more! I think the Trivia was the funnest as I had to put Questions for you to solve.
I enjoyed writing about what we were reading because its the best book we have read so far.
I found it tricky to think of some trivia questions.

 

MicroBits - Inquiry

Today we were learning to code into Micro Bits. We had to use a site called makecode.microbit.org. This site is used when you have a micro bit to code. When I started doing it I had no clue until someone from Green Lanterns helped me. Olivia S knew what to do at the start and helped me through It and then I got the hang of it.
I found It easy to code it to made a changing image.
I found It tricky to place the cords into the chip.

What is it? - Cybersmart task

This week for cybersmart we have been learning about copyright and how to get free to use images. When we went to the Museum Of Technology we were learning about the past and present, this is what our lesson was on. On Google Slides we had a picture of the past and then we had to get a picture of a present thing. 
I enjoyed finding the picture of the present.
I found it tricky to remember when you went on google images to change it.

This week for RE we have been making a Google Drawing about Jesus's Ascension. It was when he was lifted up to Heaven. We were also aloud to place a bible quote from His Ascension.
I enjoyed making this because I could make it as I wanted it to.
I found it tricky to find disciples and to make the clouds look the same.

Future Technology - Reading

WALT: To analyse and synthesize. This week for reading we have been creating some future prototypes. Since we went to the Museum of Technology we have learnt about the past and present technology that we have used. 

We read First light: The History Of Telescopes and watched The History Of Telescopes - Galileo to Hubble.

So our task was to create something that hasn't been created yet. It took a while to think about what to do but I had the idea of making something that saves the environment as well.  
I enjoyed drawing and thinking about what should go on it.
I found it tricky to label what the parts are because they are way different than the normal creation
I loved thinking and creating this and this might be a thing in the future.

This week is Sign Language Week. In Reading, we have been learning to analyse and synthesise. We read articles and watched videos. Then we combined the bits of information we needed. In one of the articles they called deaf people 'dumb' because that's what they said in the olden days. I felt sad when I read that because it would be mean to say that to people. They also banned sign language for a while. I think that was not fair because they couldn't communicate.

Because it is Sign Language Week we have been learning to Sign our names and learn common phrases. 

It was very tricky to remember how to spell my name because I had to twist my hand so you could see what I was signing.
I enjoyed learning about Sign Language because I did not know how to spell my name.
My digital learning object shows that I can make a screencastify about Sign Language so I can teach people.

Anzac Day Tasks

This week we are celebrating Anzac. We were learning to analyse and synthesise. We had to make a diary page of what we thought the war would be in  our prospective and a postcard that would be nice to send.

Te Kurī a Pāoa Pastel Painting

For the past few weeks we have been learning about Pāoa and Kiwa and how they came to Gisborne. When Pāoa and Kiwa went near Young Nicks Head (which is what it is called today) It was called Te Kurī a Pāoa. because it looked like Pāoa's dog. When Captain Cook came to Gisborne he called it Young Nicks Head. We made some art about Pāoa's Dog. We had to blend and make colours that we didn't have like green. Have you ever used pastels to do a painting?

March Reflection

Today I did my March Reflection. I am reflecting back on what I have accomplished during the Month of March. I am very proud of myself for accomplishing my things in March!. Have you ever made a monthly reflection?

I enjoyed reviewing what I did in March. I found it tricky to get the colouring right so it's nice to read off.

Next time I would do a different colour for the background because it should be lighter.

Term 1 Goal Settings

 Today we were filling in our Term 1 Goal Settings. We used our learning heros to Describe us to them like persevering. I enjoyed finding who I was more like because I didn't know that we could be like them. I chose Hinehakirirangi because she persevered and I preserved. I found it tricky to fill in my Academic Goal because there are so many times tables I need to learn so I just had to choose 3. My digital learning object is that I can publish my things to the web and make a quality blog post!

My Favorite Sport

Today for cybersmart we had to use mote for our google slides. Mote is a app that makes you create voice audios. We had to log in with our school accounts. It asked us if we were over 18 and all of us said No.
I enjoyed creating the audio because I have never used mote before.
I found it tricky to use mote because it took a while to get use to it.
My digital object shows that I can make a audio with mote.

Lenten Promise

Last Wednesday was Ash Wednesday. We had to Give up Something. Do something and Pray more.
My favorite thing was Yogurt But I have given it Up for lent. It was hard but I am doing it. 

I enjoyed colouring it in, I found it tricky to choose What my lenten promises are.

Sea week - GIF

For the past 2 weeks we have been doing a GIF about sea week. We have been Learning to make connections when we read. That we should not be polluting. Room 1 have made GIFS to tell you about plastic.
I enjoyed turning it into a GIF.
I Found it tricky to chose facts because there were so many to choose from.
Next time I will chose nicer fonts to read off.

Who done it? - Crime scene

This week we were learning to make connections between our reading. We have also been doing a crime scene. There were 4 suspects. We had a crime scene bag containing some Fiber, White powder, Handwriting sheet and some fingerprints. Sadly we did not get to do the crime scene bag because we had to do the booklet first. I was in a group with Olivia S, Olivia H and Jakob R. It was carrie who had done it. Look at the slides we have done to see the clues we had.
I enjoyed Finding out who had done it.
I found it tricky to find out evidence.
Next time I would add more to the slides.

February Reflection 2021

Today we did our February Reflection. We were looking back at what we did in February. This can be used to help me remember what I did in February. We had to say what we enjoyed about our reading tasks, what writing we like, Math Goals, Special Projects and Monthly Points.
I enjoyed writing about the special projects because there were lots to write about.
I found it tricky to write about my Math Goals because I could not remember them.
Next time I would change the colours of the lettering for February.

 

What is the Difference about peoples Handwriting.

Yesterday and today we have been learning about handwriting. To see what is different to someone else's handwriting. We had to do a sentence and our friend had to copy my sentence.

I enjoyed finding about the handwriting and that they use it to find out if it is real or not.
I found it tricky to write about the differences.

Chinese New Year

 Today we are blogging our Chinese new year activities. We did a poster and a Chinese lantern. Did you know this year is the year of the ox!. Also what animal are you for when you were born?

2021 Profile - About Me

Today we updated our About Me.

 Kia ora, My name is Mya and I am a Year 6. I am in Room 1 and my teacher is Mrs Naden. I have a puppy called Dustin, a cat called Lily and a rescue kitten called Nash. I go to Saint Mary's School. I live with my Mum, Dad and sister. My Bffs are Willow, Tessa, Maddi, Arabella and Kylah.

I am good at lots of things like Reading, Writing, Maths and Cybersmart. My favourite subject is Reading. I want to get better at Art, netball, singing,dancing and Maths. My goals for 2021 are to get better at netball, singing, and becoming a House Captain or a Vice Captain. I want to make new friends too.

I am looking forward to reading my speech about becoming a House Captain and playing netball. The person who inspires me the most are all my best friends.
